Mission
Community Connections for Youth (CCFY) is a Bronx-based non-profit organization whose mission is to empower grassroots faith and neighborhood organizations to develop effective community-driven alternatives-to-incarceration for youth. Responding to the crisis created by overreliance on youth incarceration, CCFY seeks to develop the power and capacity of directly affected communities to develop effective alternatives for addressing the problems of youth crime and delinquency.What We Do
In 2009, Rev. Austria incorporated CCFY as a non-profit organization to advance the vision of training and equipping community participation in the juvenile justice reform movement through a threefold approach that includes:Leadership Development - CCFY facilitates the development of community leadership to inform the juvenile justive reform process, with a specific focus on family members, faith leaders, and grassroots community leaders.
Training & Technical Assistance - CCFY provides expert consultation to system and community stakeholders seeking to implement community capacity building projects for juvenile justice reform.
Demonstration Project - CCFY implements independently evaluated research demonstration projects to establish practical and replicable ways to build local community capacity for juvenile justice reform.
