Mission

The DOME Project and Strycker's Bay Neighborhood Council have been on the front line of the Upper West Side for over five decades.

Working in partnership through The West Side Commons, we provide vulnerable youth and families of the Upper West Side a safe space to come together as an extended family.

At The Commons, individuals learn and share resources and opportunities that help them face and overcome problems created by unequal access to quality education and economic opportunities.

What We Do

The West Side Commons provides services to youth and families on the Upper West Side, which include:

*Social Services (Housing Eviction Prevention)
*K-5 After School (LACASA After School Program)
*6-8 Middle School After School (Each One Teach One After School Program)
*Alternative to Detention Services (Bridge to Success Program)
*High School Leadership Program
*Math Literacy Support
*Evening Tutoring
*Weekly Community Breakfast

Combined, these services help in closing the opportunity gap that persists for youth and families in the Upper West Side.
