Website Usability Audit
Website Usability Audit
Project details
What we need
- An expert evaluation of the Organization’s website compared against usability best practices in order to assess an optimal user-friendly and intuitive layout.
- Note: This project does not include feedback on website content - only usability
Additional details
We created our website in 2018 and need help figuring out what steps we need to take to update the site. There is a lot that can probably be archived and also there is some work that needs to be added. But before we just keep adding content, we want to get an assessment of the structure. We believe that we will also have to do a content audit as a next step, so this step would inform the next. Easier to navigate and be inspired to donate and sign up for our local grassroots conservation work.
What we have in place
- We currently have a CRM system with backend metrics, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a dedicated person that works on the website, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,665 , allowing us to put the money towards implementing the web design and development suggestions.
Our website is essential to communicate the good work of our staff and the organization to current and future members. It is also an essential tool to gather petition signatures when defending the land against development decisions that harm our community. If the website is clunky and hard to navigate it creates more work on our end that could be spent doing essential program work and creating a positive impact for the land, water, and people of our community.
Project plan
Our mission
Park County Environmental Council works with our community to safeguard the land, water, wildlife and people of Yellowstone's Northern gateway through grassroots organizing and community advocacy.
What we do
Thirty years ago, a small group of local residents came together to form Park County Environmental Council (PCEC), giving the community a stronger voice for wild places in Yellowstone's northern gateway. We continue to honor that legacy in all the work we accomplish together, and for this place we call home. We value this place for what it is, understanding that the very qualities that draw people here are the same as those we need to protect. Milestone achievements, like the Yellowstone Gateway Protection Act, will be remembered and celebrated 30 years from now.
Testimonials
Will was kind and a pleasure to work with. He understood our goals very well and provided solutions that were not overbearing within the capacity limitations we were working within. His recommendations were thoughtful and he provided a wonderful slide deck with both limitations and recommendations that were visually represented in his presentation. I also really appreciate the timeline he laid out for the work and expected deliverables. We highly recommend Will!
