Project details

What we need
  • Specific copy from one document (up to 1000 words) translated from one language to one other of the Organization's choice
  • Note: If you need more than 1000 words translated or copy translated into more than one language, please post additional versions of this project
Additional details

We need our annual report translated from English to Spanish. It is more than 6,000 words long so will involve several shorter projects.

What we have in place
  • We currently have the annual report in English, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have Spanish-speaking staff, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,408 , allowing us to pay a care navigator's salary for a year.

Although we are based in Guatemala and all of our staff speak Spanish and/or Mayan languages, our annual report is in English because many of our supporters live in the US and speak English. However, it is important to also have our annual report in Spanish because we believe our clients should be able to read about our work, and we are working to engage more supporters in Guatemala and Latin America.

Testimonials

Maheen was a pleasure to collaborate with; she is very organized, responsive, and positive. Language is an essential part of what we do, so having her help to translate our annual report was a key contribution.

Translation Project

Wuqu Kawoq provides vital and amazing medical care and services to indigenous people in a country I called home for 5 years: Guatemala. Working with Jill and Emily was streamlined and simple. I came to the interview with scope, timeline, and communications-based questions, received all the answers I needed to say 'yes' to the project -- and I was happy to answer Jill's thoughtful questions. Jill and Emily were responsive and kind in their communications. I feel fortunate to have contributed to their project to help Spanish-speakers gain access to the Annual Report and the important work detailed within.
