What we have in place
  • We currently have a team of dedicated volunteers and a strong vision which should make it easy for you to get started We also have a brand guide library of photo's and a strong website with the ability to provide any other information you need We are seeking a volunteer who has:
    - A deep knowledge of Facebook Twitter Instagram and LinkedIn
    - Experience with creating compelling social content and creative assets for a year-end fundraising campaign
    - Ability to work with AFC communication volunteers to ensure alignment and coordination of efforts
    - Ideas for expanding our current social media
How this will help
This project will save us $6,632 , allowing us to provide more scholarships to people financially and emotionally devastated by cancer to participate in our programs.

It's been five years since our first tribe of cancer patients and survivors stepped beyond their stories of cancer to volunteer in India Since then more than 140 participants have joined A Fresh Chapter for life-changing experiences in India South Africa Peru Costa Rica and the U S Now as part of our 5-year anniversary celebration we are creating an Anthology of AFC Stories of Transformation. We are seeking a talented social media volunteer to join our communications team and help us create compelling social content which will be part of our year-end fundraising campaign.

Our mission

Our mission is to help people make sense of the complex emotions of cancer and give them the tools, support, and community to thrive -- even in the midst of challenging circumstances.

What we do

A Fresh Chapter (AFC) is a survivor-led organization that is changing the landscape of cancer support around the globe. We bridge the gap in cancer by care by focusing on the whole person -- not just their disease. Through our peer-facilitated virtual and in-person programs, we use a skills-based approach to address the emotional aftermath of cancer while empowering patients, survivors, and caregivers to move forward with resilience and purpose. Our programs cover a range of themes including navigating uncertainty, living in contradiction, and finding perspective, and are available free of charge to individuals impacted by all types and stages of cancer around the world.
