- We currently have staff members with ample program experience, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a strong web and social media presence, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,040 , allowing us to Enroll 5 families in our Cribs for Kids program, providing a Pack 'n Play crib, education, and a year of postpartum follow-up support.
Our Cribs for Kids program has been recognized statewide, and been presented to national audiences, for its potential to impact infant mortality rates due to unsafe sleep positions. Partner agencies refer low-income clients who take a class to learn about infant safety. However, this program is now facing a critical funding shortage, and we want to turn to our donors for help with support. Without the necessary funding, this program (which has served over 300 low-income, high-risk families) will be forced to close.

Our mission
We are a local nonprofit agency that is committed to improving Hawaii's maternal, child and family health through collaborative efforts in public education, advocacy and partner development.
What we do
Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Coalition of Hawaii is committed to ensuring women and families receive access to resources and information before, during and after pregnancy. We provide programs, direct resources, and access to services that help Hawaii's women achieve a healthy, safe pregnancy and nurture a healthy baby.
Annually, we reach over 10,000 women and families through our MothersCare phone line, our online resource directory, our Text4Baby health text messaging service and our direct services. We also serve families through our Piko Pals 12-week new parent support program, our Cribs for Kids program for high-risk families, and our maternal counseling services.
We have been operating statewide in Hawaii for over 25 years and have strong partnerships throughout the public and private sectors.
