Project details

What we need
  • Written copy for an email fundraising series (up to four emails), or significant edits to an existing campaign
  • Directions on how to send the campaign in an established email marketing service, such as: Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, Constant Contact, etc.
  • Training on how to successfully update, send, and monitor the campaign
Additional details

We currently have a draft of our annual appeal letter that is being psychically mailed out to 500 of our key donors for the last 3 years. This mailed list is highly responsive. We are looking for strategy and brainstorming on how to transfer this mailed "ask" to a digital format as well. How could the letter be modified, edited, and distributed online to help us receive additional donations online. We envision the digital version going to our full mailing lists of 2000+ contacts. How could we convert those other 1500 contacts to potential end of year donors.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a final draft of the appeal letter to be mailed, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have marketing materials and language, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,140 , allowing us to This project will save us $1200, allowing us to offer (2) Artful Seeds sessions, an interactive art making workshop, with our partner agencies.

About 30% of our annual unrestricted budget comes from this fall appeal. Currently 300 or so contacts reply to our physical mail. However our digital e-news mailing list is 2000+ contacts. If we convert the 1500 contacts to potential end of year donors digitally that would give us more unrestricted capital to launch our new programming in 2019.

Our mission

The Art Connection is the only non-profit in the Boston metro area that enriches and empowers underserved communities by providing access to original works of visual art.

What we do

We facilitate the choice of art, from artists and collectors, by those who may not have the opportunity to experience the transformative possibilities of art in their lives. Since our inception in 1995, this unique gifting program has identified and catalogued original works of art donated by generous individuals and has supported local social service agencies in the selection of pieces that are meaningful to them.

Within these healing environments, the original works of art provide welcome opportunities for reflection, inspiration, comfort, and hope. Organizations find that original artwork enlivens spaces and connects them to their constituents in profound ways. The artists are delighted to give back to their community, to exhibit their work in places that attract a large number of visitors. Artists feel good knowing that their work has an impact in places where people go to access critical services. Ours is an enriching creative collaboration on all counts.
