One of the biggest hurdles confronting women in poverty is the issue of child care. As a result, we are hoping to find a business solution to this problem. Specifically, finding a cost-effective model for providing child care to very young children under the age of five years old, who are still too young to attend universal pre-K and/or regular school.
Restore NYC is a nonprofit organization working to end sex trafficking in New York and restore the well-being and independence of foreign national survivors.
Thousands of women are sold for sex every day in NYC, in every neighborhood of every borough. Restore finds women who have been sex trafficked and provides counseling, housing, and jobs. We empower each survivor to thrive in her community, which includes having stable housing, a job she loves, being reunited with her family, and ultimately experiencing sustained freedom -- and we have the data to prove it.
