Project details

What we need
  • Designs for one piece of marketing or communications collateral (e.g., fact sheet, case study, event invitations)
  • Templates with accurate, print-ready specifications
  • Note: Please post an additional project if more than one piece of collateral is needed
Additional details

We are in need of help to design our annual report and a quarterly or bi-annual newsletter to help convey all the important work we do in our community.

What we have in place
  • We currently have detailed budgets and narrative on all our programs, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have helpful program staff to provide needed information, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,002 , allowing us to put money directly into operations to increase the number of consumers/clients we can serve.

We work in a range of anti-poverty programs that make a big impact on our community yet lack the public awareness that such impactful programs should have. With strong graphic design and professional guidance, we can create documents that will increase our visibility and help us raise our profile and fundraise more effectively.

Our mission

Guided by service, compassion and fairness, UCC's mission is to assist low-income, disadvantaged and at risk individuals and families, including seniors and youth, to become self-sufficient and self supporting; while enhancing their quality of life and standard of living.

What we do

Nestled in the bustling city of Newark, New Jersey, we're not just another community organization. We are a Community Action agency laser-focused on eradicating poverty. Yep, you read that right. Our mission is as straightforward as it is ambitious: Lift our community out of the grips of poverty, one person and one family at a time.

Emergency Aid Because Immediate Needs Can't Wait

Let's be real; when you're caught in the web of poverty, every day can be a struggle. That's why we offer immediate aid for life's most pressing emergencies. Can't make this month's rent? Our financial assistance programs are a lifesaver. Food scarcity a concern? Our food pantries are your go-to. We've got the basics covered so you can focus on what's next.

Education and Job Training: Your Ticket Out of Poverty

We're big believers in the power of education and job training. If you give folks the right tools, they can build a future that's not just about surviving but thriving. Our job training and placement programs offer a pathway to better employment opportunities, while our educational programs for both kids and adults aim to break the cycle of poverty for good.

Poverty is complex. It's not just about lacking funds; it's about systemic barriers that keep people trapped. That's why our approach is holistic. We offer mental health services, legal aid, and even workshops on financial literacy. We tackle poverty from all angles, ensuring that once you're up, you stay up.

Community Collaborations: Because Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

We know we can't do this alone, and that's okay. We're all about community collaborations and partnerships. By joining forces with other organizations, local government, and passionate community members, we amplify our impact and reach more people. Together, we can break down the barriers that keep our community from flourishing.
