Additional details
Project 440 has historically always really focused on pursuing arts and culture funding sources. We want to be sure we're also adequately reaching funders who prioritize youth development, workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and other focus areas aligned with our work. It would be great to have an experienced professional support us in compiling a list of foundations to which we should consider applying!
What we have in place
- We currently have a Managing Director excited for this project, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have clearly defined mission, vision and programs, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,788 , allowing us to offer seed funding to seven groups in our Doing Good program so that they can implement a community based artistic project of their own design.
We need to diversify and expand our funding sources in order to sustain and scale our core programs. Identifying new foundations with missions that align with Project 440's is invaluable to helping us continue to deliver our programs and positively impact more young people!

Our mission
Project 440 engages, educates and inspires young musicians, providing them with the career and life skills they need to develop into tomorrow's civic-minded, entrepreneurial leaders.
What we do
Project 440 envisions a world where, through music, every young person is provided with the opportunity and tools for individual growth and community impact. We work to enact this vision through offering after-school programs open to any high-school student in the School District of Philadelphia that use music as a lens to teach college readiness, entrepreneurship and leadership.
