What We Need
  • Assessment of specific Organizational needs mapped to specific board roles
  • Outline of ideal board structure and opportunities for new roles
  • Candidate evaluation guide for prospective board members
  • Marketing tools and guidance on how to execute recruitment
  • Note: This project does not include actual board recruitment on the part of the Professional

So far, we have only used Volunteermatch to find board members. We need help because half of the members have ended terms and now we are down to 4!

What We Have In Place
  • We currently have Four board members who are active, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have A strategic plan, and the ability to provide any other information you need.

  • Volunteer Manager communicates existing board structure, including background on board members and specific roles or committees, if applicable
  • Volunteer Manager provides relevant materials on Organizational history
Milestone 1: Information Gathering
  • Professional connects with Volunteer Manager and one or more board members to assess specific Organizational needs and goals for board involvement
Milestone 2: Board Structure Strategy
  • Professional outlines strategy for ideal number of board members, and specific roles to be filled
  • Volunteer Manager provides feedback, which Professional incorporates
Milestone 3: Candidate Evaluation Guide and Recruitment Tools
  • Professional outlines key criteria to guide recruitment of prospective board members
  • Professional helps write descriptions of specific board roles to be filled
  • Professional provides any guidance on potential recruiting channels

Our Mission

Artportunity Knocks mission is to empower youth to excel in positive arts self-expression, Education, Community Service and bridging cultures through the Arts. We accomplish this mission through a variety of afterschool programs, mentoring camps, classes, and events that promotes positivity, unity, and excellence in the Arts. We primarily serve students in grades K-12.
