Impact statement
This project will save us $9,148 , allowing us to focus more intently on the program work we are doing, advocating in states and at the federal level to drive change for the children and families we work on behalf of.

Project Details

What We Need
  • Clear and effective copy for an annual report that illustrates the Organization’s successes and plans for growth (e.g., descriptions of programs, allocation of funds, and recognition of donors and volunteers)
  • Blueprint of the structure for the annual report, including optimal content, length, and style
Additional Details

We recently underwent a major organizational restructuring (which affected the structure of our organization and shifted our fiscal year), during which time the annual update was not published. We are looking for new ideas about how to share the most pertinent information, given the extended period of time we are tasked with covering.

What We Have In Place
  • We have a copy of our previous annual report (covering July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016). Our previous manager developed an outline and guiding questions for our next annual report, which can help organize some of the content that is available (though we are not wedded to following this template). We also have notes on our program activities from July 1, 2016 through December 31, 2017. We have financial statements and a 990 from this period of time as well. We can gather more info on 2018.
How This Will Help

We have recently downsized and do not have any communications or marketing staff to assist with this work. Funding is more critical than ever, and it is essential that we communicate NCLD's work and impact in a way that resonates with our stakeholders, advocates, and donors.
