Additional details
We are beginners, however moving to Wordpress format has given us independence. Our blog has had wide take-up especially of our advice pages. Within Wordpress, we are looking to improve search, navigation, readability and accessibility for disabled users. Also how to add video and how we could increase donations. Disabled women also contact us via comments, asking about their case, which we don't publish as it's confidential. Is there another way?
What we have in place
- Wordpress has detailed user statistics which are helpful.
We have a clear idea of what we are aiming for, and the improvements we would like to make. We are open to suggestions on what the blog could provide to our users and to us from our users.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,767 , allowing us to focus on our direct service work with disabled women.
The blog is a lifeline to many isolated disabled women, and we want the information we provide to be easily accessible and navigable.
Project plan
Our mission
WinVisible is a multi-racial group of women with visible and invisible disabilities, based on self-help. We enable women from diverse situations and facing multiple discrimination, to have a voice and influence, improve our situation and overcome isolation.
What we do
We provide rights-based self-help information and peer support, casework and campaigning, and other group activities.
Testimonials
Chabre is very enthusiastic and committed, and we are glad to know and work with her.
I truly enjoyed working with an international organization that allowed me to use my US advocacy and apply it to another country. Claire was very patient with me and I will definite consult with them again!
