Tech Systems Review
Tech Systems Review
Project details
What we need
- An assessment of Organization's IT infrastructure including costs, speed, reliability and security
- Advice on various IT services and the cost-benefit associated with each option
- Potentially more efficient and secure services
- Note: This does not include tech systems set up or implementation
What we have in place
- I'm not the IT person on staff, and honestly, we don't really have an official person to handle tech. However, I do have an amazing CoS who is the defacto tech person. Together we can answer any question you have about our operations, needs, etc. I'm quite concerned with security- another local non-profit was recently hacked, I don't know how to ensure (or at least reduce the chances) it won't happen here.
If we're able to determine needs, it's likely we'll be able to fit it into the budget.
How this will help
This project will save us $8,001 , allowing us to continue providing hands-on opportunities for students to engage with real artifacts, learning from primary sources, and foster an appreciation for our region and shared history.
we're a quickly growing organization that needs to ensure our structure/foundation is strong while we navigate changes and growth. From data security to basic functional efficiency, we're ready to know what we need to improve and make the investment in our future.
Project plan
Our mission
The mission of West Overton Village and Museums is to promote the preservation and interpretation of the region's agrarian and industrial contributions to our nation's history. Through engaging programs, as well as thought-provoking exhibitions and collections, we invite our audience to make personal connections to the past while drawing parallels to the present.
What we do
We share our history to cultivate personal connections and forge pathways to the future.
We're a historic village consisting of 19 buildings, spread over 30 acres that includes a 1838 historic homestead with various outbuildings, a 1859 distillery museum, a functional educational whiskey distillery, and a great place for weddings and private events.
