Additional details

Peripheral Vision International (PVI) seeks a graphic designer to design compelling graphics to be used alongside a letter seeking donations (called a remittance letter) from the public for PVI's work. PVI uses media, technology, and popular culture to catalyze social change in East Africa. Working in a multidisciplinary team and together with partners, PVI designs and tests communication on health, livelihoods, and citizenship for hard-to-reach and marginalized populations.

What we have in place
  • We currently have agreed upon text for the content of the remittance letter, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a dynamic team well-versed in media with clear ideas, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to save funds which can be used to develop our core programming to design and test communication vehicles used to promote democratic social norms to hard to reach and marginalized populations.

This project will enable PVI to solicit funding from the public, which up to now we have not developed a mechanism to do so. This will increase funding to advocate on pressing social issues in East Africa and other developing countries. The work of PVI has a significant impact, with one of its programs, Wanji Games, a gamified 'choose your own adventure' style game utilizing basic mobile telephony, receiving over 1.8 million calls in 2018. Our research has shown a high return on investment.
