What we need
  • Audit of existing Employee Handbook, or internal communications regarding employment policies
  • Edit or creation of a new Employee Handbook, which may include any of the following: Standards of Conduct, Work Schedules, Leave Policies, Termination Policies, Safety and Security, Anti-Discrimination policies, Compensation and Benefits policies, any Non-Disclosure Agreements or Conflict of Interest statements that may apply, and any other pertinent information

We have an initial draft of an employee handbook. This is the organizations first attempt at creating one, since the first full time staff member started in Late 2017. We now have 3 individuals working with the organization, one full-time and two part-time. We also host summer interns. It is important to have an employee handbook as we continue to grow.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a first draft attempted, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have time to explain our struture, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,430 , allowing us to provide one college tudent with a Dream Project Scholarship and one high school student to attend a leadership training.

We are a super tiny non profit working to help Dreamers go to college. The expertise of the staff lies in forming relationships with students and donors, and not on HR aspects. This helps free our staff time to work on case management and relationship building.

The Dream Project empowers students whose immigration status creates barriers to higher education, starting in high school, through college graduation and into professional life. Students are supported through mentoring, scholarships, family engagement and a strong network. This start-up nonprofit organization has created an intentional and inclusive community where students are encouraged through education to pursue their dreams and achieve their full potential.
