What we need
- Analysis of accounting needs and assessment of Organization’s current accounting practices
- Recommendations for process improvements for enhanced reporting
- Recommendations on appropriate bookkeeping system such as a spreadsheet or Quickbooks and related costs (if necessary)
- Note: This does not include accounting systems set up or implementation
Additional details
We have maintained a very low financial profile and budget, and do not currently have a Board Treasurer. A first showing of our current performance project "Holding One's Own: Stories about Living with Breast Cancer," was very well-received and we plan to develop the performance and build a touring production. For fundraising, sponsorships, and donations, we would appreciate a review and assessment of Nee Danse/Theatre accounting needs and recommendations for an appropriate bookkeeping system.
What we have in place
- We currently have no accounting system in place, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have an eager Director, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,139 , allowing us to demonstrate fiscal responsibility, provide accounting stability, and free resources for artistic developments.
With no accounting system in place, generating financial statements and providing financial information to prospective funders is not possible. Having an accounting system in place will allow us to demonstrate fiscal responsibility and credibility as a nonprofit organization. The goal to have a manageable accounting system for the company is the foundation for all other financial and artistic endeavors.
