What we need
  • A high-resolution digital version of an illustration that can be used across multiple channels (web, print, and/or merchandising)

Poster design for the Nutcracker ballet featuring the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra including the Tea with Klara fundraiser

What we have in place
  • We currently have dates, times and venue, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have ideas, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to use more advertising dollars to promote our event to make it more of a success.

This project will help promote the preservation of classical ballet and share the joy of the Nutcracker to many children

Prep: Distribution of Prep Materials
  • Volunteer Manager sends Professional existing branding or marketing materials
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with relevant background information on the Organization, mission, and core values

Milestone 1: Brainstorm
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager meet to discuss goals, target audience, and how the illustration will be utilized
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional align expectations for the initial drawings and agree upon a timeline

Milestone 2: Preliminary Sketching
  • Professional drafts and presents three concepts for the Organization’s illustration
  • Volunteer Manager chooses a favorite concept and provides up to two rounds of feedback, which the Professional uses to refine the Illustration

Milestone 3: Presentation of Deliverables
  • Professional delivers a final version of the Illustration in digital form

Our mission

VRB's mission is to (a) promote, preserve and foster classical ballet in the Williamsburg and Tidewater regions of Virginia, presenting educational and performance programs of high artistic quality and enabling trained dancers to participate in such programs; (b) provide young dancers with the skills necessary to prepare them for professional careers; (c) provide dance education curriculum that includes training in dance history, music appreciation, the physiology of dance and choreography; and (d) community outreach focusing on providing dance as a fun form of fitness for people of all abilities.
