Project details

What we need
  • Well-written and compelling copy for marketing or communication materials; examples include a brochure, blog post, one-pager/fact sheet, fundraising/promotional materials
  • Messaging that is consistent with brand identity, public relations strategy and communications objectives
Additional details

We need to create a documented bookkeeping policy and procedure manual.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a template, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have Quickbooks online, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,792 , allowing us to use these funds to work on the release of wrongfully convicted people.

This will allow any future employee in the operations role to know the policies and procedures surrounding bookkeeping.

Our mission

The Midwest Innocence Project (MIP) is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to the investigation, litigation, and exoneration of wrongfully convicted men and women in our five-state region, including Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Nebraska, and Iowa. We work to free the wrongfully convicted, educate the public, and change policy to prevent future wrongful convictions.

What we do

We represent people convicted of crimes they did not commit, investigate, and litigate to regain their freedom. We also work to enact policy to prevent wrongful convictions on the front end.
