What we need
- A visual redo of the Organization's website
- Design direction based on Organization's desired branding and style preferences
- Mock-ups of key site pages
- Commitment to 2 phone calls with a developer to guide initial front-end coding work
- Note: We recommend this project for custom websites. If your site is built on a CMS platform like Wordpress or Squarespace that offers templates, you may not need this project. Check out our Website Content Plan project for help building a CMS-based website
Additional details
As a youth with disability led organization, Uwezo Youth Empowerment is currently changing our current website to make it look professional, informative and interactive and accessible for vof children and youth with disabilities. Since the Rwandan community is not sensitized enough about the rights of children and youth with disabilities, we wish to use the platform to educate them as well.
What we have in place
- We currently have A hosted website www.uwezoyouth.org with some content, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have A dedicated IT Staff, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $9,186 , allowing us to The saved budget will help us buy ore school materials for children, support medical care of children and youth with disabilities and as well fund income generating ideas of youth with disabilities.
Uwezo Youth Empowerment is the only local organization dedicated to work with children and youth with disabilities in Rwanda. Our members come from across 30 districts but we are only active in 6.We therefore wish have a website in order to spread our work to other places of the country using the website. This will also help us to mobilize, educate and share best practices of children and youth with disabilities across our projects.

What we do
1. Advocating and raise awareness on the the rights and capacities of children and youth with disabilities in Rwanda
2. Support quality and inclusive education of disabled children
3. Promoting access to health services, rehabilitation and SRH and WASH for children and young adults with disabilities
4. Creating access to work and employment for educated and non educate youth with disabilities
5. Train blind people in assistive technology, braille and mobility and orientation
6. Mobilizing children and youth with disabilities to participate in community activities
