Project details

What we need
  • An easily understood visual aid that communicates complex information
  • A high-resolution version of the Infographic in the Organization’s preferred format
Additional details

I have just completed a summer reading program where teens read with preK students. I am writing an outcomes report and would like a high-quality full-page infographic to showcase some of the program's outcomes.

What we have in place
  • We currently have all of the information needed for the infographic, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have past examples of infographics, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $7,842 , allowing us to purchase more books and literacy games for children to engage in reading.

This summer program brings together youth and young children to close the literacy gap for young children and build life skills for youth. The program is our only grant-funded program, and high-quality graphics will help us showcase our impact to our donors so they are more willing to fund us in later years.

Project plan

P

  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with up to two rounds feedback
3

Our mission

Our mission is to advance educational equity in the Bay Area by delivering high-quality academic services to our youth and through our youth.

Our Mission Statement:

Aspire Education Project dedicates itself to the academic excellence of students in the San Francisco Bay Area through building relationships, encouraging academic engagement, and empowering those we teach to educate others.

What we do

1-on-1 Tutoring
Our dynamic corps of tutors work across the academic subject spectrum, securing academic success for the students they support. We are also trusted providers of Test Prep tutoring, and offer free proctored tests to all students. We distribute scholarships worth $30,000 each year to students who cannot afford market-rate tutoring.

Programs and Partnerships
We collaborate with schools and community organizations to provide educational support for the students who might otherwise slip through the cracks. Our programs support over 800 students with reduced-cost programs, classes and curricula each year.

Community Reading Buddies
Our flagship program has been connecting teen mentors with young readers in Oakland for 24 summers and counting. Its powerful youth-led model combats the enormous disparities in early literacy among the Bay Area's youngest residents.

Testimonials

Pat was a real pleasure to work with! He was clear on his expectations and questions, and guided me to create a lovely infographic for my program's outcomes report. Thank you, Pat!

Infographic Project

It was a pleasure working with Gennevieve. I would happily do so again. She was fantastic with follow-up and input. We worked easily through the concept phase, had phone meetings reliably on a regular schedule, etc. When ever clarification was needed, Gennevieve responded promptly. I also must say that Aspire Education is rare among nonprofits in that they have a brief style guide indicating standard typefaces and a color scheme. This is a huge help to a graphic designer. It makes getting started on a project so much easier. More nonprofits should have those things.
