Project details

What we need
  • Audit of existing Employee Handbook, or internal communications regarding employment policies
  • Edit or creation of a new Employee Handbook, which may include any of the following: Standards of Conduct, Work Schedules, Leave Policies, Termination Policies, Safety and Security, Anti-Discrimination policies, Compensation and Benefits policies, any Non-Disclosure Agreements or Conflict of Interest statements that may apply, and any other pertinent information
Additional details

Our Employees' Handbook needs to be updated to reflect current employment standards. We need the deliverables of an audit and an edit of our current Employee Handbook.

What we have in place
  • We currently have our Employee Handbook, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have dedicated staff time, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,430 , allowing us to spend more time on other activities, specifically fundraising for our organization. We never would dedicate actual cash to this project, however, we would have dedicated staff time.

Our board of directors human resources committee has a goal for 2019 to review and update the current employee handbook. This project will help us achieve this goal and provide staff with the most up-to-date employment requirements.

Our mission

Amerind seeks to foster and promote knowledge and understanding of the Native Peoples of the Americas through research, education, conservation, and community engagement.

What we do

At Amerind you can learn about Native American history and their contemporary lives. Here Indigenous communities share their traditional knowledge with all who visit. Academic research center, museum, art gallery, historic property, scenic destination, community gathering place. Amerind is all of this and more. Since 1937 we have been dedicated to preserving and illuminating the cultural objects and traditions of the Native Peoples of the Americas. What began as founder William Shirley Fulton's personal passion for archaeology, grew to decades of research advancements and cross-cultural understanding. Through our museum, art gallery, collections, research, and public programming and with our community of visitors, scholars, and Native American friends we:

Explore the past as a window to the future.

Expand opportunities for tribal communities to share their knowledge and art.

Inspire diverse audiences.

Gather as a community in discovery and learning.
