Our 50th Anniversary is coming up in 2020, and we want to have a dedicated logo and brand identity around all our anniversary programming and content. We recently redesigned our website, which should be a good jumping off point for the design. The logo and guidelines will be used, at a minimum, for email marketing, fundraising appeals, and event invitations so would be great to have a logo (or versions of it) that works for both print and digital.
We are very proud to have been helping neighborhoods achieve preservation goals for the last 50 years, but as we look ahead to the next 50, we really want to be able to build capacity to reach even more communities, particularly those of underrepresented populations. While the anniversary will certainly be a time of celebration, we need a strong design and plan to make it into a larger rallying point for growth.
The Historic Districts Council (HDC) is the citywide advocate for New York's historic neighborhoods. We work to ensure the preservation of significant historic neighborhoods, buildings, and open spaces; to uphold the integrity of New York City's Landmarks Law; and to further the preservation ethic.
This mission is pursued through ongoing programs offering hands-on assistance to more than 500 community-based Neighborhood Partner organizations and through direct advocacy, public-policy initiatives, publications, educational programming and participation in community events.
