What we need
  • A high-resolution digital version of an illustration that can be used across multiple channels (web, print, and/or merchandising)
Additional details

Land Conservancy looking for a graphic designer who could design a user-friendly illustrated but simple map that marks all of our properties in inland Southern California. We have all of our properties on Google maps, but need something that could be used in print materials and matches our style guide. What we have in place
  • We currently have a Google map that needs a couple updates, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have colors, fonts, and logos, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to have a critical illustrative piece in our marketing and fundraising toolbox to use in collateral materials.

We have our first ever map of all of our properties in our first professional annual report which was printed in April this year and use it constantly. However, it's functional rather than a lovely graphic that could have multiple uses. And the uses abound! Having Google maps on our website is wonderful, but having a well designed eye-catching graphic design would be beneficial in meetings, presentations and collateral. What better fundraising tool than a quick glance at our accomplishments!

  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with relevant background information on the Organization, mission, and core values

Milestone 1: Brainstorm
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager meet to discuss goals, target audience, and how the illustration will be utilized
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional align expectations for the initial drawings and agree upon a timeline

Milestone 2: Preliminary Sketching
  • Professional drafts and presents three concepts for the Organization’s illustration
  • Volunteer Manager chooses a favorite concept and provides up to two rounds of feedback, which the Professional uses to refine the Illustration

Milestone 3: Presentation of Deliverables
  • Professional delivers a final version of the Illustration in digital form

Originally founded in 1989 as Riverside Land Conservancy, Rivers & Lands Conservancy works to conserve open space, habitats, and agricultural lands through acquisition, stewardship, and community engagement. We primarily serve the lands, people, and wildlife of inland Southern California, conserving over 14,000 acres of natural lands since our inception.
