What we need
- A visual redo of the Organization's website
- Design direction based on Organization's desired branding and style preferences
- Mock-ups of key site pages
- Commitment to 2 phone calls with a developer to guide initial front-end coding work
- Note: We recommend this project for custom websites. If your site is built on a CMS platform like Wordpress or Squarespace that offers templates, you may not need this project. Check out our Website Content Plan project for help building a CMS-based website
Additional details
We currently have our website designed through Joomla, but would REALLY love to transition to a less-technical platform, ideally Squarespace. We're looking for someone who knows both Joomla (can get in a scrape content) and Squarespace (can repost all the content here on a new theme).
AEC, our US nonprofit, is looking for this project to be specifically for our Rwandan facing brand, visible at www.INKOMOKO.com

What we have in place
- We currently have content and an existing site (www.INKOMOKO.com), which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have Squarespace templates in mind, dedicated staff to support, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $9,186 , allowing us to provide services and loans to refugees in Africa.
Right now, we have several brands, and each brand's site uses a different back-end services provider. Configuring it all in an easy-to-update platform will allow us to have consistency across brands as well as to update it with more current information. This would be a HUGE help!

Our mission
Inkomoko (formerly African Entrepreneur Collective) helps entrepreneurs to grow their businesses so that they can improve their livelihoods and create jobs.
What we do
Inkomoko works with two main populations -- refugees and local Africans -- and we provide training, consulting, and affordable loans.
We work in Rwanda, Ethiopia, Kenya, and have helped entrepreneurs to create more than 27,000 jobs. More than half of our clients are women. We are the largest provider of loans to refugees in Africa.
