(Short) Animation Creation

Project details

What we need
  • Up to 3 short animations to be used in further marketing content (short videos, gifs, website content, etc)
  • Guidelines on how to use the animations in accordance with other content
Additional details

We are hoping to create a short animation (under 2 minutes) based an data & messaging in an existing report, which can be found at www.nonprofitmaine.org/addingupimpact. The animation would live on our website, but also be incorporated to in-person presentations.

What we have in place
  • We currently have friendly staff and an existing report we want to build on, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have other examples of how we've used data from the report, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to expand our communications toolbox without taking money away from other projects during an especially challenging budget year.

One of our primary goals is to champion the work and worth of Maine's nonprofit sector so that partners in government and the corporate community develop a deeper understanding of the role nonprofits play in our state's economy and quality of life. Our report is long and having a more dynamic way to communicate its important data & messages will support our efforts.

Prep: Distribution of Prep Materials
  • Volunteer Manager shares with Professional the intended platform(s) where animations will be posted, ideas for content, and images to include in the animation (if any)
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional discuss the objective of the animation, key audiences, and visual branding guidelines
  • Volunteer Manager shares examples of animations they like with the Professional

Milestone 1: Preliminary Design
  • Professional drafts animations using different themes to share with the Volunteer Manager
  • Volunteer Manager chooses one draft as a primary theme and provides feedback

Milestone 2: Animation Creation
  • Professional provides Volunteer Manager with first draft of animation
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with up to two rounds of feedback

Milestone 3: Final Animation Delivered
  • Professional delivers final version of the animations and explains how to include the animations on the organization’s chosen platform(s)
