Board Recruitment Plan
Board Recruitment Plan
Project details
What we need
- Assessment of specific Organizational needs mapped to specific board roles
- Candidate evaluation guide for prospective board members, including suggested vetting questions and timeline
- Marketing tools and guidance on how to execute recruitment
- Note: This project does not include actual board recruitment on the part of the Professional
Additional details
We are looking to make sure our board is as strong as possible going into an exciting restoration project fundraiser.
What we have in place
- We currently have a strong organizational direction, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a motivated board and staff, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $7,822 , allowing us to focus on our restoration and accessibility efforts, as well as freeing up resources for our educational programming.
We are at a point in our organization where some members are looking to take a step back and help teach new Directors the ropes. A looming (in a good way!) capital campaign for restoration and accessibility improvements is another important reason for HMTBC to be deliberate and successful in our board recruitment process.

Our mission
The Friends of the Historic Masonic Temple seek to restore Bay City's Historic Masonic Temple for use as a Community Center for the Arts, performance and education.
What we do
We are building a community center for the arts that focuses on education, performance, and incubation. Housed in a 130 year old former masonic temple.
Much of our programming is developed by the community around us. Individuals who visit and find a welcoming environment to share their wants and needs. Many of these then volunteer with us to develop the programming that meets those needs.
HMTBC has an in-house theater company, developing arts education, artist incubation opportunities, and so much more. We invite you to create with us.
