What we need

Additional details
We would love to find graphic design support to create simple and appealing versions of the three Google maps directories we have (local hikes, grocery stores, vegan restaurants). We will be using these in our volunteer manual and our classroom presentation. The project will be creating a simplified graphic version of the maps and places we have flagged, and incorporating photos.
What we have in place
- We have a dedicated volunteer coordinator to support you on this project.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,002 , allowing us to feed and provide daily healthcare to our 65+ residents including our costly special needs animals. This savings will also allow us to create printed material for our outreach programs.
We are very excited to be starting our school outreach program this year, to make an impact in our community and help the many animals who do not make it to sanctuary. Studies show that one of the most effective ways of creating positive shifts in food choices are to simply highlight delicious vegan food! So one map will be the local veg restaurants and food photos. The other two maps will be local hiking and grocery stores to help our amazing international animal care interns to get oriented.

Our mission
Founded in 2018, Magical Creatures Sanctuary rescues, rehabilitates, and offers life-long sanctuary to farmed animals on the Big Island while serving the Hawaiian community with programs that promote kindness, compassion, and stewardship.
What we do
Magical Creatures is an entirely volunteer-run organization and we are privileged to have an extraordinarily dedicated team. Many of our residents were evacuated from farms during the 2018 volcanic eruption, but the majority were saved from slaughter, rescued from neglect, have special needs, or were orphaned or injured in the wild. We provide lifelong care to the animals we rescue, and we do everything we can to ensure that injured, neglected, or lost farmed animals can find peace with us and live the rest of their lives with dignity.
