Storytelling
Storytelling
Project details
What we need
- A compelling narrative, or set of stories
- Persuasive copy that can be used in appeals to donors, annual reports, grant applications, and media relations
- Popular examples: Organization's founding story, a program achievement or milestone, a look back at the past few years, organizational backgrounder, etc.
- Note: This project is not intended to support your general content planning or marketing but there are several projects in our Marketing & Communications category which are a good fit!
Additional details
We want to develop a compelling narrative of our history and current programs that can be used initiall for our annual report to the board, but can also be used to communicate who we are to others in the community.
What we have in place
- We currently have video of our story that we used during our ADA 30 Year event, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have access to interview current consumers, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to spend that money on direct services to people with disabilities.
This year's annual report will be presented to a board with several new members. We believe it would be beneficial for them to know our story and hear about what is happening now in our programs through a compelling story. We also want to be able to share this story with other potential stakeholders in the community.

Our mission
The mission at Resource Center for Disability Solutions is to inspire persons with disabilities to lead lives free of systems of self-imposed limitations and cultivate confident self-advocates. We work side-by-side with the people we serve to connect them to support services and enrichment programs, while at the same time promote their fundamental rights in the communities in which they live.
