Flexible Web Development Support

Project details

What we need
  • Ongoing web development support for 10-15 hours over the course of 4 weeks
  • Support may include: website maintenance, updates or improvements
  • Note: We devised this project to connect nonprofits and volunteers for more flexible, more immediate impact. We strongly suggest you start with 4 weeks and decide from there if you'd like to continue working.
Additional details

Help organize and provide content for a new online platform for kids and adults. Platform is similar to facebook but fully enclosed for our users

What we have in place
  • We currently have the platform setup complete, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have staff support, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,757 , allowing us to engage more kids safely in our program.

We are using this platform as a safe virtual mentoring space for our kids and adults. This allows matches to stay together regardless of where the families/mentors move, helping to keep kids connected.

Our mission

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Central Blue Ridge's mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.

What we do

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Central Blue Ridge operates under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. As the area's leading provider of evidence-based mentoring, our agency makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteer mentors ("Bigs") and children ("Littles"), ages 6 through 16, in the Charlottesville and Albemarle communities.
