Our organization is officially launching after a three year planning and building phase. TREC is launching the week of July 26th - 30th, with a hybrid launch event on July 30th from 4:00 - 6:00pm. Dean Bruce Johnson, TREC Director Jen Kinser-Traut will both be attending in person and Superintendent Kathy Hoffman will be joining virtually to offer some remarks and answer educators questions. We want to send a press release to news outlets to expand the reach of our work.
What we have in place
- We currently have event details & a save-the-date, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have data about teacher participation in TREC, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,348 , allowing us to use funds toward high-quality professional development and supporting more educators such as through Communities of Practice.
We hope that a press release will give our help get our organization spotlighted in the news and expand our reach to more educators in the Tucson region.

Our mission
The Tucson Regional Educator Collaborative (TREC) is a group of dedicated educators led by the University of Arizona College of Education in partnership with regional school districts and professional development providers committed to supporting teacher professional development in the Tucson region. TREC's long-term goal is to increase teacher retention, by leveraging the region's professional development resources and filling in the gaps as needed.
