What we need
  • Significant update to Organization’s existing CMS website, such as adding a new page, customizing a theme, adjusting layout, etc.
  • Smaller update to Organization's non-CMS website
Additional details

We are looking for someone to help integrate our website Homeful.LA into Innercitylaw.org. Further, we are looking for help to redesign some of our Homeful.LA pages to make them more efficient, cleaner, and with no dead links, so that we can help as many people who want to volunteer, advocate, or donate. We work with WordPress and need someone who can train our team on maintaining the new elements of the website.

What we have in place
  • We have both websites already set up on WordPress. We have a capable team made up of staff and interns; however, none are familiar with web design, layout, or development. We are looking for someone who can meet with us once a week/every other week to help train us on maintaining a website as well as help us integrate the elements and update our pages.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,586 , allowing us to devote our time to help our unhoused neighbors.

Homeful.LA works to be a hub of information for Los Angeles residents on volunteering, advocating, and fundraising for issues regarding homelessness. Our website has not been updated, making many of our pages useless and inefficient. By integrating our website with ICLC, we hope to increase efficiency and engagement. We want to reengage people and keep them connected.

  • Volunteer Manager shares link to existing website with Professional
  • Volunteer Manager provides list of required updates to make (including sharing content or image assets, as necessary)
  • Both parties review our pro-tips for Organizations and Volunteers to ensure the project is set up for success

Milestone 1: Kick-Off Meeting
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional connect to discuss requested updates, and agree on a project timeline
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with credentials to access the website admin portal

Milestone 2: Review Updates
  • Professional makes the requested updates to the website (if available, the changes should be made in a test or development environment first)
  • Volunteer Manager reviews each update, and reports any remaining issues to the Professional

Milestone 3: Implementation of Updates
  • Professional implements updates to the live website
  • Professional troubleshoots any issues that may arise immediately after implementing changes on the live site
