Project details

What we need
  • 1-2 page press release that can be distributed to news outlets
Additional details

We were awarded two grants recently. We would love support in crafting a press release for each award total.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a template press release and information on the grantor, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a short list of local media outlets, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,348 , allowing us to continue our focus on providing mentorship to youth in group circles and allow our ED to continue writing grants for additional financial support.

A solid press release provides affirmation to the grantor that we are excited to have been awarded this partnership opportunity. It also helps other grantors pull up articles about support we've received, helping inform their decision to support our organization.

Project plan

P
Prep: Information Gathering
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional discuss initiative, partnership, or event that Organization wishes to publicizes
  • Volunteer Manager shares existing marketing materials, mission statement, and program descriptions for Professional to incorporate into press release
1
Milestone 1: Press Release Writing
  • Professional writes draft of press release and shares with Volunteer Manager
  • Volunteer Manager gives feedback, which Professional incorporates
  • Professional delivers final version of press release
  • (Optional) Volunteer Manager incorporates Press Release into Press Kit

Our mission

BTMVA's mission is to support boys during their critical teenage years as they transition from a boy into a man. We do this by providing communities of caring mentors and role models who listen, accept, encourage, and support teenage boys on their journey to become good men.
