Project details

What we need
  • Significant update to Organization’s existing CMS website, such as adding a new page, customizing a theme, adjusting layout, etc.
  • Smaller update to Organization's non-CMS website
Additional details

We have had a Wordpress website since our company's founding in 2009, and at the time we did not incorporate formatting for handheld devices. Our fall project is garnering some national attention, and we would love to make sure our website is responsive and well-organized regardless of the device our visitors are using.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a fully-loaded Wordpress site, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a knowledgeable amateur WYSIWYG designer, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,586 , allowing us to focus our limited financial resources on our productions of newly commissioned operas and the outreach programs surrounding them.

Our website is extremely outdated, both in style and structure. As our projects begin to receive broader attention by major news outlets, it is important that our website reflects the modern, cutting edge work that we are presenting. We are planning a brand overhaul and new website design for early 2022, but improving our current site's responsiveness will make an enormous difference in the immediate term.

Our mission

UrbanArias is dedicated to producing short, contemporary operas - works that are about 90 minutes in length or shorter and written within the last 25 years. UrbanArias aims to expose DC-area audiences to engaging, accessible, and entertaining operas; to provide a professional venue at which both established and emerging composers can present their shorter works; to regularly commission new, short operas; and to bring new audiences to the art form through relevant, current material.
