This project will save us $6,746 , allowing us to create a quality system that will assist with a staff of 56 committed human service providers.

What We Need

  • Audit of the existing systems and processes; the audit is limited to hiring and termination practices, work scheduling, payroll processing, benefits administration, insurance, and compliance with federal and state employment laws
  • Recommendation for process improvements and software providers (if necessary)
  • Implementation of chosen software (if necessary)
  • Training on maintenance tasks

How This Will Help

The success of our organization depends on talented employees and HR best practices. Without your help, we cannot create a best practice and policy for talent management. Your skills will empower us to have a better system for employee satisfaction .

What We Have In Place

We currently have HR representative that advises us on certain issues which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have an employee handbook, forms and the ability to provide any other information you need.

April Fool's Day is our agency favorite holiday. It keeps us connected through family-like pranks.

Prep: Information Sharing
  • Volunteer Manager shares information about existing systems and processes in place, including any software providers used
  • Volunteer Manager shares relevant materials such as employment offer letters, termination letters, and time sheets
Milestone 1: Analysis and Recommendations
  • Professional reviews existing systems, and asks any clarifying questions
  • Professional identifies areas for improvement
  • Professional recommends improvements to processes, underlying policies, and tools such as software to help administer tasks
  • Volunteer Manager provides feedback
Milestone 2: Implementation
  • Professional implements (or advises Volunteer Manager as they implement) process recommendations
Milestone 3: Training
  • Professional provides a detailed explanation of implemented changes
  • Professional provides any support or training necessary to set up Volunteer Manager so that changes are fully adopted
Prerequisites for Professional
  • Background in HR or operations
  • Experience setting up HR systems and/or HR management software
Prerequisites for Organization
  • Staff member at your Organization responsible for HR or operations committed to this project
