What we need
  • Ongoing graphic design support for 10-15 hours over the course of 4 weeks
  • Support may include: logo design, flyer design, branded assets for social media
  • Note: We devised this project to connect nonprofits and volunteers for more flexible, more immediate impact. We strongly suggest you start with 4 weeks and decide from there if you'd like to continue working.

Looking for graphic support in deigning graphics and logos for PRIDE, Latin Heritage Month, Volunteer Program, and other cultural events

What we have in place
  • We currently have branding guidelines, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have examples of current cultural programming logos, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to focus on brining community supports, programming to low-income seniors.

We have a very limited budget for marketing materials and design. These designs would not only be used for client facing documents, shirts etc. But also staff.

  • Volunteer Manager provides overview of ongoing graphic design needs they have over the next 2-4 weeks
  • Volunteer and Volunteer Manager align on the scope of ongoing support that the Volunteer will provide to address this need

Step 1: Ongoing Support
  • Volunteer delivers ongoing support according to determined outline
  • Weekly check-ins to ensure support is being offered as agreed upon by both parties

Step 2: Training & Offboarding
  • Volunteer provides any relevant training to the Volunteer Manager to help them continue work, as necessary, after 4 weeks

What we do

On Lok is a nonprofit organization that empowers older adults to age with dignity and independence. With over 50 years of experience, On Lok is a trusted resource in San Francisco, Santa Clara County, and the Tri-City area of Alameda County. Our mission: to relentlessly pursue quality of life and quality of care for older adults and their families.

On Lok founded and still operates the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), which allows eligible seniors to live at home for as long as possible by providing comprehensive medical care and social services. On Lok Day Services operates, On Lok 30th Street Senior Center, the largest multipurpose senior center in San Francisco, which provides a second home, health programs, activities, and case management services to active seniors. While the On Lok Mission Nutrition Program, provides more than 250,000 meals annually to seniors through its dining locations and meal delivery program. In 2021, Openhouse and On Lok joined forces to create Openhouse + On Lok Community Day Services, a safe and life-affirming space for LGTBQ+ seniors to maintain wellness and empower independence.
