This project will save us $3,607 , allowing us to pay for 6 months of mental health counseling for someone who does not have insurance.

What We Need

  • Well-written and compelling copy for marketing or communication materials; examples include a brochure, one-pager/fact sheet, or fundraising/promotional materials
  • Messaging that is consistent with brand identity, public relations strategy and communications objectives

Additional Details

JFCS is looking for someone to help write a number of promotion and development materials. These include Brochure copy, Press Release copy, and Donor Solicitation letters.

How This Will Help

We are enhancing our Marketing Materials to drive awareness of our services and larger donations.

What We Have In Place

We have a full-time Marketing Director who can provide background and objectives on each marketing piece.

Project Steps

Prep: Distribution of Prep Materials
  • Volunteer Manager provides examples of existing communications and marketing materials such as links to website and social media, brochures, and other collateral
  • Volunteer Manager provides brand messaging guide and marketing strategy (if applicable)
  • Volunteer Manager communicates initial concept for deliverables to be created
Milestone 1: Information Gathering
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional connect to discuss goals of copywriting deliverables, target audience, and desired style and tone of writing
Milestone 2: First Draft
  • Professional shares first drafts of copy with Volunteer Manager for feedback with respect to style, tone, clarity, and length
Milestone 3: Finalize Copy
  • Professional incorporates feedback and submits final copy for review
Prerequisites for Professional
  • Superior writing and editing skills
  • Experience in copywriting, marketing, public relations, communications or journalism preferred
Prerequisites for Organization
  • Initial concept for your copywriting deliverables, including goals, target audience, and desired tone and style of writing
  • (Preferred) Brand messaging and copy style guide to share with Professional
