What we'd like to talk about
We would like to know whether it's possible to have a Drupal website be in a view only mode for a time period so users can't make edits.
Additional context
We are transitioning between online application systems. Our current system is a custom built Drupal website (with various users of various permission levels). We would like to put the website into view only so that our applicants can still see their information but can't make any changes while we implement a time consuming data migration to the new system. We are wondering if there is a simple way to do this or if it would require a substantial build.
