Creating Video for Web and Social Media
Project details
What we need
- Training on how to create video content for web and specific social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
- Instructions on how to post videos to respective social media platforms
- List of recommendations and best practices for shooting a video
Additional details
We are looking to create and promote more personal stories to share about our work and the people we serve to reach a broader community audience and engage additional support. Our mission is to build new lives for homeless individuals and family through housing and community outreach. We are the designated charity of the Greater Atlanta Homebuilders Association and partner with the building industry to renovate or build additional capacity for local shelters serving homeless individuals.
What we have in place
- We currently have ideas and a sample video story to work from, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have plenty of content, along with photos, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,002 , allowing us to more effectively share our mission and expand our reach in the community, ultimately bringing in more volunteers, donors and community partners to provide necessary shelter for those in need.
Sharing personal stories from the shelters we partner with and showing the impact made on an individual keeps our mission real and highlights the incredible need to help the most vulnerable in our community. In order to continue serving these individuals and helping shelters minimize the cost of facility repairs and/or increasing capacity, we need to share the need and the impact more effectively.
Project plan
Our mission
HomeAid Atlanta Builds New Lives for homeless families and individuals through housing and community outreach.
What we do
Through the generosity of metro Atlanta's home builders, building material suppliers, trades, financial institutions, sponsors, and the public, HomeAid Atlanta has built or renovated 31 facilities for organizations serving Atlanta's homeless population. Past projects include transitional housing facilities, one free-of-charge health clinic for the homeless, and one teen center, with additional projects currently in development. The result--more than 750 people experiencing homelessness are provided housing each year in metro Atlanta through HomeAid Atlanta-built housing facilities.
HomeAid Atlanta serves as a "bridge," connecting builders, trades, and suppliers with local organizations serving Atlanta's homeless families and individuals. Working with HomeAid-recruited volunteer builder leaders, or builder captains, we manage projects for our partners.
