Employee Handbook
Help Special Education Leader Fellowship (SELF) improve transparency and accountability with clarified rights, policies, and other expectations in a new or revised employee handbook.
Employee Handbook
Project details
What we need
- Audit of existing Employee Handbook, or internal communications regarding employment policies
- Edit or creation of a new Employee Handbook, which may include any of the following: Standards of Conduct, Work Schedules, Leave Policies, Termination Policies, Safety and Security, Anti-Discrimination policies, Compensation and Benefits policies, any Non-Disclosure Agreements or Conflict of Interest statements that may apply, and any other pertinent information
What we have in place
- We currently have an employee handbook, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have access to a HR consultant who will coordinate with you, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,430 , allowing us to utilize these resources for programming for Fellows who are special education leaders working in schools.
SELF is currently a program under the umbrella of a Charter Management Organization (CMO) but it is becoming it's own non-profit organization. SELF uses the employee handbook from the CMO and follows all of it's policies. SELF needs to establish it's own policies aligned to it's size, culture, talent needs, and procedures as it becomes it's own organization.

Testimonials
Jennifer was extremely easy to work with, knowledgeable, and efficient. We were able to get to a final product in a timely manner. We would highly recommend working with her!
I very much enjoyed working with Jenny and by extension Aqua. The project itself was well explained and we were able to arrive at a final product that I think will help SELF move forward as they become an independent organization.
