Employee Review Process
Employee Review Process
Project details
What we need
- A documented process outlining how to administer a top-down, peer-to-peer, or a full 360 employee review process
- A communication plan to share the process with others in the Organization to help them understand the approach and desired outcomes
- Recommendations on tools that can be used to collect feedback (anonymous or identified) and organize quantitative and qualitative results
- Best practices for rolling out the performance reviews, and coaching advice for managers and individual contributors
Additional details
Open Hand currently utilizes a more traditional review process. All 150 employees are rated on their top 5 key job functions on a 1 to 5 scale. Performance improvement plans are required for anyone scoring a 1 or 2. We'd like to identify a more progressive performance review process that affords more 360 degree feedback throughout the year and better identifies areas for developing each employee.
What we have in place
- We currently have our current documented process, goals and objectives, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have sample reviews and reports, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $18,386 , allowing us to serve an additional 1550 meals to the most vulnerable in our community.
Open Hand has worked hard over the years to create a vibrant, diverse and inclusive culture. Being that we 'manufacture' meals, our employees come from all walks of life with varying degrees of education, experience and motivation. A more robust staff development and training program, an effective retention strategy, and enhanced tools to assess and manage personnel performance are critical to the organization's goal of cost-effectively providing services to more people in our community.

Our mission
We Cook. We Deliver. We Teach. We Care.
What we do
Packing and delivering nearly 5,000 health-promoting meals each day to the most vulnerable individuals in metro Atlanta, Open Hand is the largest community-based nutrition agency in the Southeast.
Not only do we provide access to healthy food options for our clients, who are living with or at risk for chronic disease, we teach them how to use nutrition to better manage their disease and improve their quality of life.
Open Hand also operates a social enterprise, Good Measure Meals, that offers healthy, gourmet meal plans to the paying public to help them manage their health and reach their wellness goals, with 100% of the net proceeds going to subsidize meals for Open Hand clients.
Celebrating our 30th year of service, we're fast approaching 30 million meals delivered!
