Financial Planning
Financial Planning
Project details
What we need
- An Excel spreadsheet custom-built specifically for the Organization's finances
- Training on how to use the spreadsheet to understand the current financial situation and predict future states (e.g., plan for budget increases or decreases, hiring, and other key drivers)
What we have in place
- We currently have audited financial statements and an organizational budget, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a grants manager, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $14,474 , allowing us to improve our workshops and offer more courses, and provide more summer camp scholarships for underserved youth in our community.
We want to ensure that we are using each dollar we receive from organizational supporters to refine our programming and make the most impact in our community. This project is an integral step to achieving our goals.

Our mission
Allens Lane Art Center (ALAC) was founded nearly 70 years ago in response to growing racial tensions in the Mt. Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia. An interracial group of neighbors who believed in the arts as an agent for unity and change established ALAC in 1953,
Today, the organization provides programs and activities that bring our diverse community together to experience and support the arts. Our vision is for ALAC is to be the model of community engagement in the arts in Northwest Philadelphia, providing quality and innovative art and cultural programming for the Greater Philadelphia Region.
What we do
Allen's Lane Art Center offers four core programs: Gallery Exhibitions, Theater Performances, Classes in Visual and Performing Arts, and Summer Art Camp for youth.
In following our mission to make the Arts as accessible as possible to our community, many events are either low-cost or free when possible.
