What We Need
  • Setup or update of accounting system in Excel or Google Sheets
  • Training and guidelines on how to manage system and generate basic reports
Additional Details

Need help setting up excel based accounting system that can track income and expenses properly and generate financial reports. Prefer accounting professional with experience in building financial reports for non-profits, familiar with non profit tax laws, experience assisting clients with forms 990-N,990, 990-EZ strongly preferred.

What We Have In Place
  • We currently have first year basic report, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have excel skills, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How This Will Help

As a small start up animal rescue sanctuary, all of our time is dedicated to caring for the animals so managing the business side of things is an area we need help setting up and streamlining

Project may require a short interview with the organization.

Prep: Information Sharing
  • Volunteer Manager shares existing financial record keeping methods and/or financial reporting system
  • Volunteer Manager shares Organization's financial reporting needs and goals
  • Professional makes recommendations on accounting system reports to address the Organization's needs
  • Note: If necessary, Volunteer Manager may have Volunteer sign a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) prior to sharing and discussing Organization’s financial information

Milestone 1: Implementation
  • If necessary, Professional migrates data into Excel
  • If necessary, Professional and Volunteer Manager check accuracy of migration
  • Professional organizes spreadsheet based on Organization's needs

Milestone 2: Training and Handover
  • Professional provides basic training for Volunteer Manager and supporting staff for tracking and reporting, including guidelines for continued use of system
  • Professional reviews above guidelines and tips with Volunteer Manager
  • Professional stays available for up to two weeks to address questions as Volunteer Manager starts to adopt new bookkeeping system

Our Mission

Clover Ridge Farm Sanctuary, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit animal rescue in New Milford CT whose mission is to bring homeless, abused, senior, or otherwise at-risk animals to safety and let them live out their lives on the farm.

Our goal is to make a difference in as many homeless pets lives as possible and provide them with good food, quality vet care, compassion, comfort, and dignity for the remainder of their lives.

Our sanctuary is home to pugs, cats, and miniature goats.
