What we need
- A detailed Operating Budget covering at least one full fiscal year
- Expert advice on how to reconcile actual expenses with budgeted expenses
What we have in place
- We currently have a part-time bookkeeper and well-maintained QuickBooks files, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a quarterly accountant and annual financial audit to review our numbers, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,434 , allowing us to focus our energy on 60 women receiving prenatal education and counseling.
We have grown tremendously in size over the past two years, more than doubling grant revenue, and increasing our staff size from 2 to 6 employees (including part-time and contract employees). With that growth comes changes in the budget, and with the number of grants (ranging anywhere from $5,000 to $140,000) and the reporting requirements, we need to have a very solid handle on where the money is being spent, and when.

Our mission
We are a local nonprofit agency that is committed to improving Hawaii's maternal, child and family health through collaborative efforts in public education, advocacy and partner development.
What we do
Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Coalition of Hawaii is committed to ensuring women and families receive access to resources and information before, during and after pregnancy. We provide programs, direct resources, and access to services that help Hawaii's women achieve a healthy, safe pregnancy and nurture a healthy baby.
Annually, we reach over 10,000 women and families through our MothersCare phone line, our online resource directory, our Text4Baby health text messaging service and our direct services. We also serve families through our Piko Pals 12-week new parent support program, our Cribs for Kids program for high-risk families, and our maternal counseling services.
We have been operating statewide in Hawaii for over 25 years and have strong partnerships throughout the public and private sectors.
