Earned Income Plan
Project details
What we need
- Assessment and recommendations for income-generating activities that will complement the Organization's current mission and existing programs
- Actionable steps necessary to implement recommendations, alongside estimates of upfront time and monetary investment required
- Challenges and potential risks identified in pursuing the plan
Additional details
Experience with nonprofit finance would be extremely helpful, as we would need guidance on tax issues for fundraising.
What we have in place
- We currently have a dedicated following and resources, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a supportive board of directors and creative staff members, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $11,794 , allowing us to begin serving 100 expectant moms with prenatal education.
We have fundraising ideas, but do not have a designated Fund Development Manager. What we need is someone to tell us how to implement our ideas successfully, while realistically gauging likelihood for success. We also need to know how to segment and manage our time accordingly, while balancing our core mission. Ideally, fundraising and our outreach to moms would support each other, hand-in-hand.

Our mission
We are a local nonprofit agency that is committed to improving Hawaii's maternal, child and family health through collaborative efforts in public education, advocacy and partner development.
What we do
Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Coalition of Hawaii is committed to ensuring women and families receive access to resources and information before, during and after pregnancy. We provide programs, direct resources, and access to services that help Hawaii's women achieve a healthy, safe pregnancy and nurture a healthy baby.
Annually, we reach over 10,000 women and families through our MothersCare phone line, our online resource directory, our Text4Baby health text messaging service and our direct services. We also serve families through our Piko Pals 12-week new parent support program, our Cribs for Kids program for high-risk families, and our maternal counseling services.
We have been operating statewide in Hawaii for over 25 years and have strong partnerships throughout the public and private sectors.
